My Spider Lady has a new home! How cool is that? She is on her way there now in a very decorated package! My nephew put it in the receptacle at the post office and this one woman couldn't stop trying to look at it! lol
This is what I was up to over the weekend. I made a matching dress and top for Lillian and Madeline to wear in a sister portrait. Don't give me much credit for that...you get this fabric at Wal-Mart, it's presmocked...you measure, cut, and sew one seam. The other thing is that I am REupholstering our chair and couch...AGAIN! I swore I would never do that again...the first time was when Lillian was a baby and I did it at night while she slept. I spent most of that time upside down...upholstering is like being in a wrestling match. And all that piping! This time, I started during Madeline's nap and she woke up early. Try being in a wrestling match with a baby trying to crawl all over you, trying to run off with the pins, climbing the furniture to get to the new, higher place that you put the pins, and pulling the fabric you just placed off the couch while you are getting another piece. lolIt will be good though...the last wrestling match added 6 years of life to the set, and there is no point in buying a new one when it gets abused by so many young kids right now. I love the floral because it doesn't show stains as easily. You can see a bit of the roll of fabric (just $3 a yard!) behind the chair...same colors...just reversed. Wish me luck girls!
