It's a GiVeAwAy Part II :)

I had my first blogging anniversary!! I completely missed it! I thought it was a completely different date. However, that's no reason not to CELEBRATE!

I started this blog when I started painting. I've crafted forever, but was always intimidated by the almighty brush. I didn't feel like I had any control. Something made me want to try anyway. It was FUN, it was FREEing, and it felt GREAT. So I tried some more. People started buying my paintings and I happily sent them to their new homes...so grateful that someone else liked what I did.

I'm definitely no expert. I know that I have a lot left to learn and I'm excited to do just that. I know that I want to take this to another level. It calls to me, I stay up late to do it, truly to the point of falling asleep at the table. I LOVE it.

My story of the past year is here, so I won't summarize it for you except to say that I have had a wonderful time creating and meeting people that create. Now that I have this outlet, I don't know what I'd do without it...without lovely people like you visiting me.

In honor of this, I'm having another giveaway...yes two giveaways going on at the same time! Woohoo! Feel free to enter both...the other one is below.

I blog to share what I've made...and for that I'll be giving away:

A print from my etsy shop, you pick after you win. :)

I blog to meet people that create...and to encourage you to create MORE I'll also be giving away:

A $15 gift card to Micheal's, JoAnns, or Hobby Lobby...you pick after you win. :)

So here's how to enter. You can:

1. Follow my blog...it's to the right and oh so easy to do. And guess WHAT? Anyone who follows my blog will be automatically entered into any and all future giveaways I do...cool, huh?

2. Leave a comment on this post. That will get you a second entry.

3. Link to my blog using the badge above and earn 3 addition entries!!! Please comment here afterward to let me know so I can give you credit. I would appreciate this so much, you have no idea. I want to grow and meet new people that are as great as the people I know now. :)

Thank you...thank you for visiting, thank you for sharing, and thank you for being a lovely part of my life. :) And good luck!

It's a Giveaway!! One World, One Heart

***This giveaway is now closed!*** I DO HAVE ANOTHER ONE ON THIS SAME BLOG...click on my header to see! Thank you to all that entered...will be drawing the winners soon! :)
Mere

I'm hopping onto the Gypsy Caravan that is One World, One Heart! If I could live outside like Fanciful Twist, I would do that in a heartbeat. Something about being outside really relaxes me. Growing up, I was always out in the woods, breathing it all in.
I always wanted to be in a caravan...my first car was a Saturn and I swore I was going to make the trip to Tennesee to see the factory with all the other Saturn owners. Her name, was Ginger, after Ginger Rogers. She danced just as well, mile after mile with me until I had to give her up for a car that would fit a car seat. I cried when I traded her in, but in the end, my Lillian is better than any Ginger I could ever have! :)

Anyway, if this is your first visit, WELCOME! :) I hope you come back later and hang around. I'm happy to participate this year and here is what I am giving away:

1. Any 8x10 print from my etsy shop...you pick after you win!
2. This ornie, hand painted by me.This giveaway is open to everyone. Entries will be closed midnight Feb. 11th and drawing will be held on Feb 12th. Good Luck!

I also have another giveaway that I will be doing in the next day or two, in honor of my 1 year blogging anniversary! You are, of course, allowed to enter both. ***UPDATE*** My other giveaway is up...good luck! :)

Thanks for the visit, to new friends and old...may you always be happy and your iced tea always cold! :)

P.S. Here's a little Ginger for you!

I've been a bad, bad girl...

It is SO not the 26th and I am very sorry about that! I've been away on vacation and I thought it would be a brillant idea to draw the winner the day before I left. I forgot how packing, cleaning, and preparing for guests would change all that. So then I thought, "Hey, I'm going on vacation, I'll have lots of time to do it while I'm away!" Yeah, right. Long story short, I'm sorry to have kept you all waiting so long. I do have some great pictures to share though...they will come soon.

I'm including this video because I have this thing for being reminded of songs when people say something. I end up singing a lot! Wow, a meme without a meme!

ANYWAY...A VERY sweet girl by the name of Megan (who I just so happen get to babysit today) drew the winner of my toadstool set...Jenn of Noodle and Lou! Thank you to all who entered and for sticking around while I was away! I am so grateful for this blogland of ours and all the wonderful people in it!

Taking a Break...

Hello all :) It's almost 3 am here in the desert and I'm getting ready for a non-Hannah Montana, yet Hannah Montana party. Before I get back to work, I wanted to share my toadstool from Lucy Kate Crafts. I am pretty sure that mine made it there by now. My partner, Ginger of Loves to Dream, loves buttons. I had such a hard time deciding what I was going to do for it when my Lillian found the perfect fabric. She is such a handy, crafty, friend. She sews and paints with me all the time. I am so in love with my little girls...gee I get sentimental in the wee hours of the morning. :)

And guess what?? I made an extra set to give away to a sweet blogger friend! Who will it be? I don't know! If you love buttons too, leave a comment here and you'll be entered! Thank you to all that leave me comments! They are bright spots in my day! Drawing will be on Thursday the 26th!!

So Many Reasons to Smile

Hello my lovelies! I am SO sorry I am late posting! Below I will tell you what has been keeping me. I must first tell you about the goodies that came in the mail. The first one completely surprised me. I signed up for my very first swap over at Lucy Kate Crafts. We have until the 13th to send it, so I was completely clueless as to why I had that special key in my mailbox...the one that always gets me so excited because it means a package has arrived! Did I order something? No. Win something? No. Here is what I found! These are from Ginger over at Loves to Dream. Aren't they fantastic? It's even better in person! The stalk of the toadstool is a woven/embroidered material...just perfect! And the doilie! Thank you SO much Ginger! For the pin cushion too! So sweet! I think it's perfect that I got paired with you as I have always been a fan of Ginger Rogers. My first car was a red saturn coupe and I named it after her!
Here is another goodie I got in the mail. I was lucky enough to win Lani's Art Blessing Giveaway over at Healing Expressions. Here is the piece hanging from my fairy tree. Please go over and see her fabulous work...I love her quotes too. This one says "It takes great courage to fly, but oh what a view!" SO TRUE! Thank you Lani! It is very special!
So what's kept me away? Lillian's schedule was full of end of school year events. Her she is with her bff, Constance, at the Kingergarten musical.
Dave went out of town, so I HAD to take the opportunity to teach the girls in my life that flea markets are not a place to buy fleas! I told them it was a treasure hunt and gave them each some money to spend. Lillian found a sweet jewelry box and I had a great experience that was so special that it will have to be a post of its own.
Repaving the patio in an effort to make it livable out there for the summer...hello mister system! The girls were outside almost the whole holiday weekend!
Last day of school!
But not before one last Art Masterpiece! I've been asked to do it again next year...can't wait! This time they played with salt dough that had been handled by a partner. They had to get their inspiration from the shape their partner made...like the way Michelangelo said the marble told him what to make, not the other way around. I'm going to miss them and their hugs so much!
Finally, as promised, the winner of my giveaway! Lori, of Faerie Window! Congrats Lori :) Please email me your address! Thank you to all who entered...I really appreciate your support!

If you post about it on your blog, I'll enter you twice...just let me know you did! I'll draw the winner on March 26th. I'm excited to do my first giveaway!
