Santa's Cookie Break

It's tough delivering all those packages in one night! Santa takes a much needed cookie break before getting started again. He's munching down over on ebay. I've been having fun with the metallics and glitters lately...good season to be playing with them! His beard has a tint of glitter and the green is shimmery, but subtle.

So you saw the tree I did for Lil, but I'm having such a hard time with Madeline's Wizard of Oz tree! It's a white tree, with a white feather boa and marabou boa...that much looked good. Then I added red balls with blue gingham ribbon and now it looks awful. :( Definitely not stuffed! So far I've thought of using yellow ribbon for the yellow brick road. Something emerald-y maybe? What do you think?

How I Spent My Summer Vacation Part 2

Hey Girls! Lillian here. Did you ever see that movie, "Night at the Museum?" These little guys come to life at night...isn't that cool?! I don't very know...I wish I could take one home with me. That movie has Mickey Rooney in it! I met Mickey Rooney...Mom and I went to his concert and we were walking to our car when he came out. He said hello to me because I was wearing my ruby slippers. I just love him and Judy Garland too! Mom wakes me up every morning singing their Good Morning song. You know, this one:

This is the courthouse in Auburn. We went there with my Aunt Shannie...she is the coolest! They had this big museum there with old stuff and gold too!

Mom really liked the old stuff...lots of the pictures were weird because they were in cases, but this one is great. It's big enough to take it you want!
We really love to see flowers...this one looks like a sea of roses!

Mommy loves old buildings and I would like to live here...we all would. But then I wouldn't have any cousins to spend the night and what good is that?
We stayed with Aunt Shannie and Uncle Micheal Micheal in their new house! It is SO beautiful! Micheal Micheal loves to play music and played this for Madeline when she came to check out his piano. Mommy just loves how her face lit up as he played. She said it's one of those things she will never forget! Do you know what song it is? We would love to know!

Somewhere, Over the Rainbow, Madeline had her first birthday party!

Oh my baby...she's growing up! I know everyone says this but it went so fast! Makes the moment bittersweet, you know? She had a wizard of oz party, small, some family, some friends, lots of fun! We spent the whole week building a puppet stage and rehearsing with the cousins, good times :) I had bought the rag dolls for her off of ebay a long time ago and they were the perfect puppets.

These are things I made for her room...that is a real clock! Can you guess what it is made of?

There is a diploma too, but not finished. If you guessed paper clay, you are right!

Here is Grammie and Madeline Mae, just before the show starts. She hung in there for all but the last ten minutes...pointing at the dolls, talking to them. She loves puppets!

Madeline became curious and wanted to see just who was behind that green curtain. Why it's the cousins! Not to mention, a fun microphone too! She sang along. :)

This was NOT the original cake...it was supposed to be oz, yellow brick road, and poppies. It was a pineapple, and she didn't know what poppies were. Good thing I had the mini ruby slippers on a paperclay brick or else you would think it was the 4th of July!

These were the favors...bluebird sachets. I am throwing on into the giveaway! A little present from my baby....
